WUDL #19: Digital Consumer Lending – Opportunities & Risks in a € 700 Billion Market

It's already been more than two years since we last talked about consumer lending in our very first show. Time for a new episode with three fintech lending experts from Germany, Lithuania and Slowakia.

Today, we will be discussing current market developments, returns and defaults, the competition between banks and Non-Bank Digital Lenders (NBDL), as well as financial consumer protection. The new Consumer Credit Directive (CCD) places an even stronger focus than ever before on over-indebtedness and credit risk management. It also paves the way for an EU-wide regulation of digital consumer credit in order to better protect investors. So it’s pretty cool that we’re not just talking to two fintech lenders, but also to an asset manager with a focus on digital consumer loans who can share the investor perspective. Tune in and join the discussion!
