DLA: Dear Anna, why did you found your law firm?
Anna Izzo-Wagner: Before founding Annerton and opening the Frankfurt office for Annerton, I worked in various Frankfurt law firms, all of which followed the full-service concept of legal advice. With Annerton, we wanted to realise the vision of a boutique law firm – i.e. a law firm that focuses exclusively on the regulation of the entire financial market – at the highest level.
DLA: What exactly is the business model of your law firm?
Anna Izzo-Wagner: Thanks to our high degree of specialisation and our clients‘ extensive market coverage, we are part of the financial market ecosystem. We advise established, international groups as well as innovative start-ups from the banking, financial services and digital economy sectors. Our aim is to always think strategically in the interests of our clients and to find innovative and sustainable solutions together. Our services encompass a high degree of specialisation in all fields of financial market regulation; starting with MiFID, banking services, payment services, money laundering, investment law, compliance and, of course, the entire digitalisation of the financial market, including DLT and, of course, Digital Lending. With almost 30 professionals at 4 locations in Germany and Luxembourg, we are now in a position to provide precisely these services.
DLA: Why was it important for you to become a member of our association?
Anna Izzo-Wagner: On the one hand, we have already been in very close contact with you for a long time on a wide range of regulatory topics relating to the digitalisation of the credit market. On the other hand, it is simply the case that Digital Lending has been continuously shaping the market for years now. The future belongs to Digital Lending – be it in terms of cost and process efficiency, product diversity or customer-orientated product solutions. In this respect, membership with you is only inevitable.
DLA: Thank you very much for the interview, Anna. Glad you’re part of our organisation now.
