Holger is a Berlin-based technology entrepreneur, investor, board member and advisor with more than 25 years of experience building and scaling technology companies. He combines hands-on entrepreneurial experience with an investor and board perspective. A particular focus lies on turning innovative technologies into scalable businesses.
With this extensive expertise in his pocket, Holger will support us in the area of Open Lending & AI. There are huge challenges looming. A look at Asia shows what tomorrow’s competition in Europe will look like in digital lending. And Holger has got what it takes to keep up with the really big dogs in the street instead of just sitting on the porch.
Holger began his career as an early employee at Gate5, a pioneering mobile navigation company that was acquired by Nokia in 2006 and became the foundation of what is now HERE Technologies. He later joined Aupeo Radio! as Managing Director and CEO, helping build the company into an international connected-audio business for the automotive industry before its acquisition by Panasonic.
In 2016, Holger founded German Autolabs, developing AI-powered voice technology for professional drivers and the automotive and logistics industries. He led the company through its growth and subsequent sale.
Over the years, Holger has held a range of roles – from founder and CEO to investor, chairman and board member – supporting companies from their earliest stages through growth, strategic transactions and exits. He also served for ten years on the board of High Mobility, a leading European platform for connected-car data.
Today, he works with ambitious founders and technology teams, supporting them with company building, fundraising, strategic development and M&A. His current focus includes technologies at the intersection of AI, mobility, deep tech and new business models. Among his current engagements is AERLIN, where he supports the development of a new generation of highly efficient flying-wing aircraft.
