New Working Group on Open Lending

Due to its high strategic relevance for many of our members, the Executive Board decided to establish a Working Group on Open Lending. Andreas Knopf, co-founder of DLA and CLO at INVESDOR, was elected chairman. Till Otto, Counsel at Annerton, is his deputy.

The task of the working group is to contribute to the development of all legislation dealing with the sharing and use of financial data beyond paymentAndreas Knopf, Head of Legal accounts. This relates in particular to the European Commission’s proposal on FIDA and all Level-2 & -3 texts to come with the exclusive focus on digital lending.

In addition, members shall develop a concept for an industry-led approach to seamless digital lending encompassing banks, non-bank lenders and brokers. The Executive Board’s aim is to offer consumers and SMEs more and faster choices in the provision of financing, to strengthen innovation and competition in Europe, while ensuring adequate consumer protection.
