Two New Board Members Elected

The General Meeting elected Esther Hackl and Andreas Knopf to the Executive Board. They are following Philipp Kriependorf and Marco Hinz who left the gremium by the end of 2025.

We have two new members on the Executive Board. Esther Hackl and Andreas Knopf were unanimously elected by the General Meeting in February.

They succeed Philipp Kriependorf and Marco Hinz, who stepped down from their volunteer roles after more than 6 and 5 years, respectively. We owe both gentlemen a humongous debt of gratitude. They have always been exceptionally dedicated to the interests of the DLA.

Special mention should be made of the dynamic internationalisation of the association, the elaboration of our industry guidelines, and the establishment of the Advisory Board as the cornerstone of our association’s development in December 2025. In the case of Philipp Kriependorf, there is one more thing that makes him special: he is one of the DLA’s seven founders. We wish them both the very best for the future!

Esther Hackl is General Counsel and Vice President Compliance at auxmoney, a digital lender located in Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands. She has more than 15 years of experience in capital markets and the finance industry. Esther is a former chairwoman of our legal committee and today a chairperson of the supervisory board of Knaus Tabbert, a listed German caravaning manufacturer.

Andreas Knopf is Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at INVESDOR, a digital lender licenced under the ECSPR and located in Germany, the Netherlands and Finland. He is one of the co-founders of DLA and former chairman of our legal committee. He has more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer, and has held various management and supervisory board positions in a range of industries. He is co-author of various legal commentaries on the ECSPR and co-author of the ‚Legal Handbook on Digital Lending‘.

We wish both new Executive Board members lots of success and hope they enjoy carrying out their volunteer duties together with Patrick Stäuble and David Eckner.
