The world is facing major challenges: First the Corona pandemic, then the war in Ukraine. Rising interest rates and prices for energy and raw materials, existing and new supply bottlenecks, and inflation are doing the rest. The year 2022 was also challenging for the members of the VdK. Together, we face these stakes and develop solutions. This claim became clear once again at this year’s general meeting, which was attended by around 20 company representatives at its peak.
This year’s agenda again included the reports of the financial auditor – result: no findings – and the committee chairs, as well as a summary of the past fiscal year by the Executive Board. According to the annual report for 2022, the association has continued to develop thematically and has moderately gained new members. With now 25 as of 01.01.2023, the VdK is on a solid growth course.
The central topic of the association’s work this year was once again the development of industry standards. The members can be satisfied with the 6 standards adopted by the general meeting, as they are on schedule. Currently, 6 more standards are being worked on, and they should be adopted by the end of 2023. The first 4 will enter the revision phase for the first time this year. The aim is to close existing gaps. To this end, the members are currently undergoing a gap analysis under the leadership of the Risk and Compliance Management Committee.
Following the official part of the general meeting, the Executive Board invited members and guests to a relaxed welcome address. The next general meeting will take place on the same day as FINTICS in September 2024.
